Dystopia is a 2D metroidvania where Ginger, a scientist cat and survivor of a nuclear accident, searches for fragments of a cure while exploring a collapsed utopia filled with mutated creatures.

About the Game

Dystopia is a 2D platformer with metroidvania structure, puzzle mechanics, and light shooter elements. You explore the ruins of Ecosia, a once-prosperous animal utopia devastated by an incomplete nuclear detonation that exposed the system’s hidden decay.

Story

Ginger, a scientist cat and one of the few survivors, must travel through the remains of his world to collect the fragmented formula that could either save or end what is left of Ecosia. Along the way, he encounters radiation-mutated creatures and former colleagues turned into dangerous monsters.

World

Ecosia was once a sophisticated society of animals organized into specialized roles: scientists, builders, aristocrats, artists, defenders, and more. After the nuclear incident, the utopia collapsed into a true dystopia where mutated beings, corruption, and instability dominate the ruins. Ginger must navigate both the physical danger and the moral consequences of the world he helped shape.
